Copenhagen-based DJ Popup is one of those at the helm— a slept-on selector who lets the music speak for itself. His body of work on his imprint, NES, showcases infectious, low-slung basslines with endless swagger, driving tracks like “PU’s MPC” and “Memory Hole.” On the title track “Efune” from his 2023 release, he takes a more emotional and spaced-out approach to club music. On August 2nd, Popup will bring his extensive collection of ’90s deep house, understated US house, no-rules techno, unreleased tracks, and much more. And Beyond residents Bobby D and Pollen will be on support.
