SUMMARY:RCP Museum Late: welcome to our building
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday 4 June for a special Late opening for the London Festival of Architecture.\n\nThe Royal College of Physicians' (RCP) striking Grade I Listed building was designed as their HQ by Sir Denys Lasdun in 1964. Today the building is so much more including a public museum\, freely open to all.\n\nAt our Museum Late we invite new visitors\, returning visitors and people who might not think this a space for them\, to come inside. Through an interactive guided tour and archives display we will share the purpose behind the building\, and how it exists today as a public space for everyone to engage with\, enjoy and feel like they belong.\n\nYou can drop-in anytime between 5.30pm and 8pm to explore the building with a free self-guided trail\, discover archival plans\, letters and images about the construction and use of the building. At 6pm there is a pre-bookable interactive architectural tour - spaces are limited.\n\nhttps://www.townspot.co/event/rcp-museum-late-welcome-to-our-building-3ffee3e7-cac1-46d0-b4e8-48b864864437

SUMMARY:CAMDENWALLA
DESCRIPTION:1994\, the Camden Monitoring Project\, 60 Hampstead Road. A group of volunteers\, organising against the growing racist attacks.\n\nWhen threat is daily\, resistance becomes a daily task\, but as the teenage Alima is thrown into a night at the Project with her Uncle Muhammed\, it becomes clear that within the ordinary\, live the extraordinary acts of care needed to hold a community together. \n\nWhen an attack looms\, the phone begins to ring. One call becomes another. As the night deepens\, Alima and Muhammad must navigate not only the weight of what they hear\, but their own questions about responsibility\, identity\, and how to respond to injustice. There are choices no-one hopes to have to make.\n\nBased on true stories from the real people of Camden\, CAMDENWALLA gives voice to those who refused to stay silent. Intimate\, urgent\, and quietly powerful\, the Camden Monitoring Project is once again activated in the very building it was born\, as we continue to ask ourselves what we must do in the face of hatred\, division and obstinate hope. Blending humour\, humanity\, and lived experience\, CAMDENWALLA shines a light on a hidden history\, and the people who made sure it was never forgotten.\n\nhttps://www.townspot.co/event/camdenwalla-aab84f1e-85b1-46ea-a18f-9103c28b9136
