String has been an essential tool for survival and creativity throughout history, and in this hands-on workshop, children aged 8–12 will discover how to make their own from nettles and other common plants—without the sting. With fibres waiting in every garden and green space, they’ll learn a timeless skill that’s both fun and practical. Parents are welcome to stay and join in the experience.
