Back in 2019, Mike noticed something frustrating in Kentish Town: there were brilliant local events, workshops, and community activities happening all around, but neighbours had no clue they existed. Amazing local life was thriving and people were missing out.

The solution started with a simple weekly WhatsApp digest of local gigs, talks, and pop-ups. Mike then realised this wasn't just about sharing events, it was about helping communities connect with where they live. That experiment became a platform that lets locals become community editors, curating hyperlocal listings in their own areas and turning them into automated local newsletters.

Today, TownSpot helps:
