The great Hungarian violinist Jelly D’Aranyi inspired many notable 20th-century composers to write for her and was instrumental in reviving Schumann’s previously hidden yet wonderful violin concerto. In this recital, violinist Sara Trickey https://saratrickey.com↗ and pianist Daniel Tong https://www.danieltong.com↗ pay homage to Jelly and feature music that is closely associated with her. The duo will also discuss her life and its extraordinary intersection with many of the great artists of the period.
