Zoƫ Nicol believes songs can do more than tell stories; they can also build worlds.
Her creative life is shaped by a fascination with both the landscapes around us and those within us. Drawn to ideas of sustainability, mindful living and environmental responsibility, she is equally interested in the inner worlds we inhabit: the stories we tell ourselves, the experiences that shape us, and the ways creativity can help us make sense of them.
A singer-songwriter from Kent with Liverpudlian and Irish roots, now based in Liverpool, Zoƫ is best known for her work with Worry Dolls, the acclaimed duo who performed alongside artists including Robert Plant and Mumford & Sons, were nominated for Single of the Year at the AMA Awards, and received The Drake YolanDa Award. Career highlights include Bob Harris' Under The Apple Tree sessions, Glastonbury Festival and performances on the main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival.
