A free creative programme for young people aged 13-19, combining filmmaking workshops, a theatre trip and a public screening event.
Have you ever wanted to make your own film? Join filmmaker Chuck Blue Lowry and Master's students from Central Saint Martins for an exciting introduction to filmmaking.
Across three practical workshops (18th, 21st, 25th August), you'll learn how to develop ideas, tell stories through film, operate cameras, and work collaboratively as part of a film crew. Together, you'll create an original short film that will be screened at a special public sharing event for friends, family and the local community (28th August).
The programme also includes a free theatre trip, offering participants the chance to experience inspiring live performance and explore different approaches to storytelling.
No previous experience necessary, just bring your curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm. Advanced booking is required.
This event is part of Camden Council's family-friendly and inclusive evenings programme, supporting free and low-cost activities for families and young people between 5-9pm across Camden this summer.
