Concrete Motion explores the figure in movement in the London Borough of Camden through the lens of subculture and the skating community.
Featuring the artworks of Derek Jarman and a commissioned film from Rough Method and Dan Magee, the figure in motion is explored through multi-disciplinary mediums combining film, installation and community participation.
Community-led workshops and video contributions have shaped the exhibition itself, allowing skaters to recreate their vivd world of concrete skateparks within the gallery.
Concrete Motion becomes a spaces, within the heart of the Borough of Camden, where the skating community has left their mark.
A collaborative exhibition from Swiss Cottage Gallery and BA Culture, Criticism and Curation students of Central Saint Martins.
