About

Have you always wanted to try your hand as a crime writer, but struggled to know where to begin? Perhaps you know how your mystery ends, but are struggling to pace your plot? This National Crime Reading Month, you can unlock your creative 'cell' in our historical crime-fighting setting by joining our series of three exclusive creative writing masterclasses with award-winning crime authors. Across three specialised writing workshops, you will learn crucial ingredients in the crime writing process, with each session building on the last. So come and visit the Museum in the quiet hours after closure, where our specialist authors will lead you through a range of creative exercises to spark new ideas and give you the tools you need to craft intricate mysteries. Workshops will be open to all levels, and participants are not obliged to share their writing. This event is recommended for anyone over the age of 16 years.
