About

SAVING MYSELF by Tim Stubbs Hughes A new solo play about trauma, mythology and survival. Performed by Jessamy James, directed by Julia Stubbs. 20 South Street in association with Grey Swan. After a violent assault, and a lifetime of being blamed for things going wrong, Lilly becomes convinced that something inside her has to be destroyed. Moving between realism, poetry, folklore and ritual, the play unfolds in real time as she fights to take control of her own body and story. It had its world premiere at Brighton Fringe in May, where it was received warmly by audiences.
